But prayer is invalid without purity!

Come to this course to learn the essentials of Purification. Some of the topics covered in this seminar include:

  • a discussion on impurities and its different types
  • modern methods of purification and their rulings
  • medical conditions affecting purity and the Islamic solutions
  • about menstruation and it’s different rulings

About the speaker

Born and brought up in Canton Bern, Ustadh Sanel has been involved in Islamic learning and teaching for nearly 15 years.

He was a co-founder of the Swiss Muslim Scouts before moving to Saudi Arabia to further his studies. His 7 year stay enabled him to graduate from the faculty of Usul ud-Din at the Islamic University of Medina and also to study with Islamic scholars in the Prophet’s Mosque.

Since his graduation, Ustadh Sanel has moved to the United Kingdom where he recently completed a Masters in Education and now works as a teacher and Deputy Head at an Islamic School.

He also lectures widely in both the UK and Switzerland on topics important to Muslims and the Muslim community.

How to get there

By Car: there is a blue-zone and other car parks right next to the venue which are freely available on Sundays

By Tram: The closest stop to the venue is ETH/Universitätspital which can be reached by trams 5, 6, 9 and 10. You can also arrive at Centrale from which the venue is only a 10 minute walk.

By Train: The closest station is Zurich HB. From here the venue is a 15 minute walk, or just a couple of stops on tram 5, 6, 9 or 10 which you can jump on from stop Bahnhofplatz/HB directly outside the train station.

  • Unfortunately there will be no creche facilities available during this seminar. Attendees must be of a minimum age of 12 years old
  • Lunch will not be provided at the venue. However, there are many cafes located nearby.
