“PREPARING FOR RAMADAN” – a spiritually uplifting seminar by MSAZ

The Muslim Students Association of Zurich [MSAZ] is pleased to announce
Dr. Muhammad Atiyat to deliver a spiritually uplifting seminar on “Preparing for Ramadan.”

Alhumdullilah, the blessed & most beautiful month of Ramadan is near and what better time to prepare for it than right now. Some of us deceive ourselves into thinking that when Ramadan comes we will suddenly change and worship Allah night and day; however if we look at the example of the Sahaaba (companions of the Prophet peace be upon him), we see that they used to prepare for Ramadan six months in advance! So if we really want to make the best of this Ramadan then we need to prepare for it NOW!

In this talk, Dr. Muhammad Atiyat will discuss how to prepare oneself spiritually for the blessed month of Ramadan, and how to derive maximal spiritual benefit from the month.

What the seminar covers:

  • practical steps Muslims can take to orient their hearts and souls for the month of Ramada
  • the inner and spiritual dimensions of fasting
  • how to maximize one’s spiritual benefit from this blessed month
