This coming weekend the weather seems to be wet and windy throughout all of Switzerland, except in Canton Ticino where it is forecast to be a warm 20 degrees!

So lets kick off Spring with a hike to the place they call the Swiss “dinosaur mountain”, an almost 1100m high peak which has been a centre of interest for archaeologists since the 19th century. The route we take will give us some breathtaking views of the lakes below and across the greenery down the mountainside.

10:04 – 10:18 Platform 2 train to Capolago

10:20 – 4pm Hike

Those joining from outside Zurich can meet us at Lugano station at 09:50

What you need to bring

• Sturdy hiking shoes
• Water
• Sandwiches
• Hiking sticks if you need them
