This weekend we’ll be doing a ridge hike that looks over the picturesque town of Interlaken.

This is a lengthy and demanding ridge hike into the conservation area of the ibex colony on the Augstmatthorn, one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Lake Brienz area. After a very steep descent to Lombachalp, the trail leads through magnificent Alpine meadows to Habkern. We begin however, at the top of the Harder railway where we can enjoy a magnificent view over Lake Brienz.

Programme

06:45 – Meet under the blue angel at Zurich HB
07:02 – 07:58 pl. 31 train to Bern
08:04 – 08:57 pl. 5 train to Interlaken Ost
09:10 – Seilbahn up to Harder Kulm
09:30 – 16:30 hike plus time for pictures and lunch
16:36 – start journey home with bus 415
